I have completed the oft-hinted at site redesign. It's smaller to download, less complex (although only barely), and much more forboding. Of course it took me about an hour of mucking around online to get it looking right, but then, I think it was worth it (of course, as always you should be vocal if something rubs you the wrong way). There's now a calendar to navigate the archives, and an official Art page, which links both the portfolio and any gift art that comes my way. Speaking of gift art, todays is the last for a while. That's right, on Wednesday, Chapter Two starts up! I'm full to bustin' with new things to try and draw, and hopefully some of them will tickle your fancy... or just look cool. That would be good too. Of the pages I've completed so far, all three please me. The detail is quite insane, of course, but I've been putting more and more ink onto my A4 recently, and I like it. Finally, I'm in the throes of attending Armageddon. It's a con around these parts. I originally meant to spend most of my time promoting DD to innocent victims, such as yourselves only a little more naive, but instead got sidetracked by subtitled anime screenings and eventually ended up doing little but watch DragonBall GT (the final episodes), Sailor Moon (Exile's a huge fan, and as I was with him I figured I'd give it a go), and then Ranma 1/2 Movie 2. Now the Ranma was classic. Oh, and there was an appearance that I sat in on with Amanda Tapping from Stargate SG-1. She's cool. I'll be back at Armageddon today, hopefully promoting Dungeon Damage. Incidentally, it's my first big con. Boy, I'm nervous. HISTORY Armageddon, by the by, is a placename in Israel. It's a valley near the town Megiddo, some distance north of Jerusalem. Look it up in an atlas. The Battle of Armageddon referenced in the Bible will presumably take place there. No mention whether Lucifer will be bringing comics and anime to the battle, however. ARTIST Brian Cooke sends us this piece. He doesn't do a webcomic, but has an Elfwood gallery. Again, the art is mostly in beautiful pencil. A big thanks towards Brian for this. Isn't it gorgeous? |
